The charity committee would like to thank all staff that helped make this a great year for charitable donations! In total you raised £2, 241.00 and donated £19,510.84 to charity in the last 12 months!

The committee would also like to send a special thanks to both Dunns Food & Drink and Tunnocks for their contributions towards the charity hampers organised by Cath Mitchell and the team at the Glasgow's Pre-5 Family Support Services. Their contributions along with a £500 food donation by NVT Group were delivered to Cath yesterday afternoon and it looks like they’re definitely on their way to hitting a target of 50 hampers this year! A debt of gratitude goes to all those that helped make this happen.

In an open statement to all organisations that helped this year Cath said:

"The Pre 5 Family Support Service would like to thank all of your staff and customers for donating to our Christmas Hamper Appeal.  All your donations will be sent to homeless families with children.  This time of year is difficult for a lot of the families we work with but your kindness and support will assist us in making a memorable experience for children who do not necessarily have a special time at Christmas.  We would also like to thank you for the special effort involved during the adverse weather conditions we have recently experienced."

Pre-5 Family Support Services is a Glasgow City Council department which works with homeless families living in temporary accommodation such as B&Bs, hotels and temporary furnished flats.  The Service provides flexible early year’s childcare and education on an outreach basis to children from birth to five years and a support service for parents/carers.  To date 130 families have been registered with them during 2010.  

The NVT charity committee would also like to thank NVT customer service employee Lesley Potter’s colleagues @ Real Care for all their help this year.

Well done everyone! This has truly been a great year of giving and making changes in other people's lives! Let's keep that good will going and make 2011 even better!
