We welcomed Chris on board this Summer as our new IT Service Desk Manager at NVT, just before we kicked off our work at the Glasgow 2018 European Championships as the Official Networks and Network Integration Services Supporter. It’s fair to say that Chris was flung straight in at the deep end with this project! Join us as we introduce Chris below…

When did you join NVT?

What does an average day for you look like for you at NVT?
I’ve had a whirlwind welcome to NVT. I have spent my time so far (when not involved in the Glasgow 2018 European Championships) getting to know the team and the business, learning about current processes and practices and basically getting a feel for how we work. I have also spent time getting to understand our customers and listening to their feedback on our service. The hard work begins now as I look at improving the ways in which we operate our Service Desk and Helpdesk and strive to deliver an efficient service both internally and to our customers.
What has been your favourite part of working with NVT so far?
Being involved in the Glasgow 2018 European Championships and seeing how everyone pulled together so well to ensure success. It showed me the wide range of people employed in NVT with a diverse skillset, all with outstanding commitment. The Championships were a great team effort and it gives me belief that we have the right people in place to excel even further in the coming years.
What is your favourite quote?
I don’t really have one! I have been trying to think of one for a few weeks. I’m sure there’s a quote for someone that can’t think of a suitable quote to quote?!
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two young kids, Abbie (7) and Luke (nearly 5) and I am married to Lesley-Ann. When not working or spending time with the family you will find me on the golf course playing badly or chilling in my Lay-z-spa. We do have a little caravan, so we do the odd bit of touring when it comes to holiday times.
