1st April 2021 marks a watershed moment for NVT Group as we bid farewell to Graeme Muir, who has served as NVT Group’s Operations Director since 2006 and retires today. Graeme joined NVT Computing on 1st April 1991 and – no joke – today therefore marks exactly 30 years’ service with NVT.
Graeme joined the team initially as a programmer and this was followed by four years as Technical Manager and five years as Technical Director.
When he then assumed the role of Operations Director, Graeme led the team to define its strategic focus in the premium end of the IT market and to deliver great service in this area. He was also instrumental in expanding the Group’s overall capabilities during this time.
Looking back on his career with NVT Group, Graeme gave thanks for the support he’d received from everyone over the years and said the whole experience had been “a blast”.
Amongst all the many things we will remember, one of Graeme’s career highlights was when he welcomed HRH Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, to NVT Headquarters back in 2000. And so we leave the photographic evidence here for us all to enjoy.
We know that Graeme will not be a stranger to us at NVT Group and so this truly is “farewell but not goodbye”.
Going forward, the role of Group Operations Director will be fulfilled by Dougie Weir. Many of our clients will know Dougie already since he also has a long history with NVT spanning 25 years. We would also like to wish Dougie all the best for his new role with NVT Group.
