This week, we said a very fond farewell to one of NVT Group’s longest-serving and most beloved team members — the wonderful Alan Murray — who has officially retired after an extraordinary 31 years of service.
Alan has been a constant figure in the life of NVT Group for over three decades, earning the respect and affection of colleagues and clients alike. His dedication, professionalism and warmth have left a lasting legacy — and he will be missed.
That said, we couldn’t be happier for Alan and his wife Lorraine, who are now setting their sights on a new adventure — relocating to the stunning Dordogne region of France to enjoy a well-earned and exciting retirement together.
Of course, we made sure their send-off was a special one! Group Operations Director Dougie Weir presented them with a hamper full of French-inspired goodies, including fine wines, artisan cheeses, phrase books, a beret — and even a DVD of ‘Allo ‘Allo! — to help them settle into their new life with a smile.
To Alan: thank you for your incredible 31 years of service. Your loyalty, kindness and humour have meant so much to everyone here. We wish you and Lorraine all the happiness in the world for this next chapter.
