Stephen Park Brown of NVT Group has passed the Managing Director torch to another in his management team, after 20 years in the position.  Stephen has been Managing Director of NVT Group since 1998, ten years after its founding.

He has formally handed over the reins to Hamish Fraser who has been a member of the senior management team at NVT for 12 years.

Stephen will retain a key role in the business as the Executive Chairman of NVT Group.  The change takes place at the beginning of NVT’s 30th anniversary year and will see Hamish take the business forward throughout the next decade to at least 2028.

Hamish has paid tribute to the achievements of his predecessor, saying: “Stephen’s leadership and guidance has seen our business grow from a small but ambitious hardware and software reseller to become Scotland’s largest independent IT services provider, as well as a successful and progressive technology innovator.”

Hamish’s appointment comes after one of the most successful periods in NVT’s history.  NVT Group has won a series of important technology integration contracts for several high profile sporting events, including the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.  Success in delivering Games-crucial IT and connectivity was rewarded with other big-ticket engagements, including the 2014 Ryder Cup and the first European Games in Baku.

Later this year, NVT will be working at the Glasgow 2018 European Championships as the Official Networks and Network Integration Services Supporter.

Hamish says: “I am fully committed to developing our core services, including the Viia, Aiir and Concepta solutions and I will be delighted to introduce them to our existing customer base and our prospective customers at a number of familiarisation sessions we will be holding here at NVT Group.

“We have spent the last few years developing these solutions, making sure that they have real benefits in areas that we know businesses have critical needs, such as cloud computing and high-speed connectivity.  It will be my privilege to steer NVT Group as we take these solutions to market as well as prove their effectiveness once again at the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.”

Stephen says: “This is an extremely important juncture in the history of NVT Group as we celebrate 30 years of business.  Hamish will now lead our business from the front and help us achieve our ambitious and strategic growth plans over the next 10 years.  It is my pleasure to hand the Managing Director reins to him so that he can make the role his own while I remain involved by providing counsel and guidance to the business as Group Executive Chairman.  I wish him and the rest of our team every success.”
