NVT is delighted to have sponsored the annual Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland charity Golf Day 2018, held on 2nd October at Gleneagles on the iconic Queen’s course. Not only were we sponsors of the 3rd and 4th holes, but we were pleased to have a team playing too, who came an impressive 2nd place!
A total of 21 teams took to the course for a day of light hearted (yet competitive!) golfing in the stunning surroundings of Gleneagles, in aid of raising funds for SBH Scotland. After a good breakfast to get us ready for the day, the golfing action kicked off at 11am with a shotgun start. The conditions for playing were perfect, and with the sun shining and our players skills on point, we were delighted to finish the day in 2nd place. We won a back pack and umbrella each, donated by White Label Solution/VSN Sport.
The days golfing finished up with a raffle and auction and altogether the total funds raised over the course of the day were an amazing £15,000! That’s £3000 over the target SBH had originally set. The funds will go towards helping the work SBH provide to families daily all over Scotland. The charity provides a lifetime commitment of support and information to all those affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. Indeed, a very worthy cause that we are pleased to have helped raise funds for.
We look forward to getting involved again next year. Perhaps we’ll put in some practice and grab 1st place next time!
