Since the beginning of the lockdown, NVT Group employees have been working from their homes, using tried and tested technology solutions to continue working together, even though they are at a distance physically.
So where exactly are NVT Group employees currently?
Whilst the majority of NVT Group employees live in the general vicinity of our Bellshill HQ, the geographic spread reaches to the Ayrshire coast to the west and over to Edinburgh to the east. When venturing north, we travel 179 miles by road to Inverness. Going south, we reach our furthest away location, in Manchester.
Bringing NVT Group employees together virtually
At NVT Group, we have been using the same technologies that most have other businesses have adopted to ensure that home working life remains connected, collaborative, productive and effective.
Even though we are working from home locations, we retain access to our network resources through VPN technology. Using video conferencing technologies, such as Microsoft Teams, has allowed us to collaborate with each other with as much effectiveness as we would experience face-to-face.
The same technology facilitates our systems engineers and help desk staff to respond to ICT support requests from our service users in their respective home environments.
