2018 has been quite a year for NVT Group. We welcomed new clients to our business and new colleagues to our team. We completed our engagement at the Glasgow 2018 European Championships successfully. This year we were also delighted to kick off #NVT30, our 30 years anniversary celebration.
Join us as we take a look back at some of the events which shaped the past 12 months here at NVT Group.

January 2018: A new Group Managing Director and Group Executive Chairman
At the beginning of the year, Stephen Park Brown passed the Group Managing Director torch to another in his senior management team, after 20 years in the position. Stephen had been the Managing Director of the NVT Group since 1998, ten years after its founding, and remains fully involved in the business today as Group Executive Chairman.
Hamish had been a member of the senior management team at NVT for 12 years before being appointed the role of Group Managing Director.
Hamish paid tribute to Stephen Park Brown, saying: “Stephen’s leadership and guidance has seen our business grow from a small but ambitious hardware and software reseller to become Scotland’s largest independent IT services provider, as well as a successful and progressive technology innovator.”

April 2018: Team NVT completed the Glasgow Kiltwalk
On 29th April, Team NVT took part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk. The team of 13 walkers, including Group Managing Director Hamish Fraser, completed the Mighty Stride, walking 23 miles from Glasgow Green to Moss O’ Balloch Park.
However, that wasn’t the last Kiltwalk for Hamish in 2018. On 19th August, Hamish also completed the Dundee Mighty Stride, bringing his total Kiltwalk mileage to more than 48!
We took part in the Kiltwalk to support our long-term charity partner, ENABLE Scotland. ENABLE conducts great work, championing for equality for people who have learning disabilities in Scotland. Our fundraising this year has resulted in a total of over £7000 (online and offline donations included) being raised for the charity. You can still donate at our Just Giving page here and every penny is much appreciated. Thank you for everyone who supported us this year.
