For the NVT Group charity fundraising committee, the summer months have meant two things – sunshine (sometimes) and Kiltwalks. In August, Irene Simmons, along with Alison Cranmer and Andrea Niven completed the Dundee “Mighty Stride” 26 mile course. In September, our team of 9 Kiltwalkers (led by Kiltwalk champion Irene) completed the Edinburgh “Big Stroll” 12 mile course!
Along with Irene, #TeamNVT included Deirdre Millar, Anne Campbell, Hamish & Jane Fraser, Carol Hamilton, Graham Stevenson and Monica, Watson & Liam Young. Together, the team, along with Alison & Andrea raised an impressive £1,717.26, in aid of ENABLE Scotland, NVT Group’s nominated Charity of the Year.
Today we are delighted to announce that NVT Group will contribute an additional 40% (£686.90) to the funds raised, bringing the total donated to NVT Group’s Kiltwalk campaign to £2,404.16.
This, of course, is before Sir Tom Hunter adds an additional 40% to that amount, meaning that ENABLE Scotland will receive a total of £3,365.81 from NVT’s Kiltwalk campaign – all of which will go towards the great work the charity does for people with learning disabilities.
Stephen Park Brown, Managing Director of NVT Group said: “It’s our pleasure to support ENABLE Scotland. We really believe in the good that the charity achieves and I am delighted that NVT Group is able to boost the fundraising amount raised by our Kiltwalkers by 40%, so that we can maximise the amount ENABLE Scotland will receive from the campaign.”
